AS a mexican American I have grown with the traditions of making tamales for the holidays so this time I decided to read the book called "Growing Up with Tamales:Los Tamales de Ana" by. Gwendolyn Zepeda. Now I think this book is a great book to teach about traditions and about tamales and it would be great for children from 1st to 5th grade especially because its bilingual so its written in both english and spanish and it teaches about the steps in making tamales and its just a very nice family book that makes you hungry once you finish reading it. I recommend this book because of the bilingualism and messege it sends and here is a great website on the author here she introduces other of her books she has done.
